Business and Commercial Litigation
Our attorneys regularly represent clients nationwide in contract disputes; regulatory matters; fiduciary, officer, director and shareholder litigation; and a wide range of other business litigation. We also provide day-to-day advice to employers and act as outside corporate counsel for small businesses. Our clients include international corporations, national non-profit entities and regional and local businesses. On behalf of our clients, we conduct litigation, arbitration or mediations where appropriate.
Business and Commercial Transactions
Our attorneys provide legal advice in areas such as contract negotiation, dispute resolution, financial transactions, leasing, mergers and acquisitions, employment and severance agreements, and intellectual property services on behalf of our clients. In addition, our business attorneys will attend meetings of board of directors and managers upon request. Our attorneys work with corporate clients to review internal procedures, policies and business practices to ensure that our clients are as up to date as possible on changing legal requirements, regulations and industry practices. This helps our clients to avoid legal issues and litigation before business is disrupted by prolonged and expensive lawsuits. HHP’s business services include legal advice regarding entity formation and preparation of corporate documents, including operating agreements, partnership agreements, shareholders’ agreements and bylaws. In addition, we assist our clients with their business succession and dissolution needs, as well as advise them upon the withdrawal of an owner and/or disputes between owners.
Complex Litigation/Liability Litigation
HHP represents corporate and individual clients in matters involving premises liability, products liability, negligence and issues of professional malpractice. Additionally, HHP represents employers directly and through their insurance (EPLI) coverage in litigation throughout Georgia involving claims of discriminatory or unlawful employment practices. Our attorneys only represent individuals in medical malpractice cases and have a history of outstanding results on behalf of our clients. HHP also represents individuals and families in Catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death litigation.
Professional Negligence Malpractice
Our attorneys regularly represent clients injured by the professional negligence of attorneys, accountants and other non-medical professionals. Our professional negligence practice is one of the few in the Southeast to focus extensively upon cases involving allegations of attorney malpractice.
